Our Services

Our medical professionals employ a wide range of proven techniques for each individual case. Below, you’ll find a brief explanation of the popular chiropractic techniques we use at our practice.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is a great tool for better health. I am still amazed at how much a short series of adjustments will do for people. It can affect so many aspects of your overall health and wellness, but in particular those aches and pains in your muscles and joints, headaches, back pain and the list goes on. I have found over the years that adjusting should be gentle enough to get the joint moving, but not so hard as to do any damage. If you hurt after every adjustment, it is not being done right. Most people feel quite a bit better after adjusting.

An interesting case in point is a patient of mine who came in for neck and upper back pain. He told me that was all that was wrong and that he had no other health problems. After some adjusting and ART, his spine felt great, and he told me he no longer needed his heart medication! As it turns out, the nerves from that area go to the heart among others, and the irritation to the nerves there was causing cardiac problems. Please understand that I am not saying chiropractic adjustments can fix everything, we just don't know enough about it to say that. But it is sometimes surprising just how much it can do. In short, it is a great tool for staying healthy, even if you don't have any aches and pains.

Trigger Point and Massage Therapy

The primary purpose of Trigger Point and Massage Therapy is to reduce the pain that results from hypersensitive muscles. Trigger points are identified by gently pressing on the surface of the skin, sensing the texture of the underlying muscle.

A trigger point is like a knot the size of a pea, buried deep in the muscle tissue. It is made up of lactic acid, a normal byproduct of muscular activity, which sometimes gets trapped in the muscle from physical, chemical or emotional stress.

Fitness and Exercise

Fitness and exercise are extremely important to maintain overall wellness and prevent future ailments. Here at Bay Chiropractic we can suggest and demonstrate various exercises to allow for a healthy and strong body.

Our office employs many physical therapy modalities, including ultrasound, and electrical muscle stimulation to complement our other techniques.
